TIMELINE QUESTIONNAIRE
Would you kindly take a moment to complete the pre-wedding timeline questionnaire below? Your input will guide me in capturing the exquisite details and emotions of your day, ensuring that I preserve the most important memories for both of you.
Pre Questionnaire Recommendations (please read)
Preparations:
Natural lighting is the preferred choice for your preparation photos. I highly recommend having your hair and makeup done next to a window with no interior lighting to achieve the most stunning imagery for your films. It's best to avoid LED and ring lights sometimes used by hair and makeup artists as they don't translate well on film and can detract from the beauty of your chosen venue.
Please keep in mind that if the groom's preparations are in a different location and I am shooting solo, it may not be feasible for me to capture both bridal and groom preparations.
In order for me to be prepared at your ceremony location, I typically need to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. This time allows me to set up cameras and place microphones on the appropriate speakers. If you would like me to capture the final moments of your bridal preparations, such as putting on your dress, I recommend allowing extra time for this.
Speeches:
While not mandatory, I recommend, if feasible, to schedule your speeches after your wedding breakfast rather than before. This timing allows me, as a solo videographer, to capture more spontaneous moments leading up to your guests being seated for the meal. It also gives me the opportunity to set up tripods and audio equipment towards the end of the breakfast. If speeches are scheduled before the meal, I will need to start setting up 30 minutes beforehand to ensure readiness for the speeches.
Having speeches between courses can introduce additional noise and coverage challenges with catering staff serving or clearing dishes. It may also pose safety concerns with tripods in busy serving areas. If you opt for speeches between courses, the MC must inform me before each speech begins, as I may take breaks during this time.
For optimal coverage, it is advisable that all speeches take place in the same location. This allows me to anticipate and frame shots for each speech using 2 or 3 cameras. Speakers should either stand beside the head table or use a designated microphone stand or predetermined area for their speeches.
